CCJ Remedies Breach of Constitutional Rights. Permanently Stays Sentences of Solomon Marin Jr.

In a judgment released today, the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ) allowed the appeal of Solomon Marin Jr in the matter of Solomon Marin Jr v The Queen [2021] CCJ (AJ). The Court permanently stayed the enforcement of his sentences to remedy the breach of his constitutional right to a fair hearing within a reasonable time.  The CCJ heard the appeal on 23 March 2021.
