From Tuesday, 7 to Wednesday, 8 October 2026, the Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ) will convene sittings in Saint Lucia to commemorate the Opening of the Judicial Year 2026/2027. For the first time in the Court’s 21-year history, Saint Lucia will host itinerant sittings, previously held in Barbados, Belize, Guyana, and Jamaica. In 2023, Saint Lucia became the fifth Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Member State to accede to the CCJ’s Appellate Jurisdiction.
