The Caribbean Court of Justice (CCJ) will celebrate 14 years of its operations on Tuesday, 16th April 2019. The Court will mark this occasion with activities throughout the week.
Tuesday, 16 April
The CCJ will launch its 2019 Rules of Court for the Original and Appellate Jurisdictions. The Rules of the Court are reviewed every two years. The judges and the staff of the CCJ will also have a small ceremony to mark the occasion.
Wednesday, 17 April
The Court will welcome the public to its headquarters in Port of Spain on Wednesday, 17th of April. Guided tours start at 9 am and conclude at 3 pm. Information about the Court will be shared, with an interactive tour of the courtroom and a demonstration of the technology that underpins the Court. Elements of the tour will be shared online for those who cannot be in Port of Spain.
Thursday, 18 April
There will be a particular focus to sharing information on the CCJ’s social media platforms, on Thursday, the 18th of April, when the CCJ’s social media platform will provide answers to questions submitted on social media and through an email address, info@ccj.org. Members of the public are invited to pose questions directly to representatives from the CCJ.
