Allan Joseph Alexander, a citizen of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, entered the Inns of Court (Gray’s Inn) in the 1950s, where he read law before being called to the Bar of England and Wales in September 1959.
The following year, in January 1960, Mr. Alexander was admitted to practice as a Barrister-at-Law in Trinidad and Tobago.
Mr. Alexander, who is still in active practice, has had a very distinguished career in his chosen profession and is now a member of the illustrious Inner Bar, having accepted silk in July 1980.
Mr. Alexander was an Independent Senator in the Parliament of Trinidad and Tobago during the period 1986 to 1991.
He was also past Presidents of the Trinidad and Tobago Bar Association; the Law Association of Trinidad and Tobago; and the Organization of Commonwealth Caribbean Bar Associations.
Additionally, Mr. Alexander has served his country in the capacity of Acting Judge of the High Court.
