Biography
Rt. Hon. Sir Charles Michael Dennis Byron of St. Kitts-Nevis graduated from Cambridge University in 1966 with M.A; LL.B. He was in private practice throughout the Leeward Islands. In 1982 he was appointed as a Judge of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court and in 1999, was appointed Chief Justice. In 2004 Sir Dennis was appointed a Judge of the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda, and was elected President of the Tribunal from 2007 to 2011. Sir Dennis was knighted in 2000 and appointed a member of the Privy Council in 2004. In September 2011, Sir Dennis was appointed President of the Caribbean Court of Justice.
